Whatever we do in our lives we need to take into consideration that there are two things that are very important for us to become successful. First are the necessary actions that we need to take. Second is the right mindset. Both of these things are crucial to achieving the desired outcomes.
It is very important to have a goal, a direction in which we want to go. In other words, we need to know what it is that we want. After making that decision, we need to start acting on those goals. If we want more clients, we need to prospect. The prospecting can be done in many ways. When we have a prospect, we need to make an appointment, and then we need to make a sale. The other very important thing is the right mindset. We can work hard or we can work smart. We need to take actions, but how successful these actions are going to be depends on our mindset. That right mindset is the difference between working hard and working smart. We all want to work smart. It means that you have better results in a shorter period of time.
So, what does it mean to have a right mindset?
First, we need to understand that we create everything in our lives by the way we feel. So, if we want to have desired results of our actions, we need to feel good. We need to expect that our actions are producing the right results. We need to see a picture in our mind of the perfect outcome.
Let me give you an example.
One of my clients, a painter, gave a bid for painting condos. The HOA, by the Law, always needs to have a few bids for a job. He told me that there were five painters who gave proposals. One of the bidders was painting the condos regularly for over 20 years. In a situation like that you would expect that he gets the job again. That is exactly what my client thought. I told my client to put a picture in his mind that he is already painting these condos. That he is the one who gets the job. He did everything I advised him to do. Guess, who got that job? My client did. The painter who has been painting the condos for over 20 years was busy with another project at that time and my client got the job.
This is what we call working smart. My client took actions by placing the proposal with the HOA. Then, he created a right mindset by expecting that he already had the job.
So, any time you want to create something, take actions towards it and keep a picture in your mind of the perfect outcome. Expect that it is going your way.
Have an absolutely magical week, full of LOVE, GRATITUDE and FUN!!!
