I work at appreciating my self without becoming narcissistic or patronizing myself.
For instance, I enjoy giving of myself without expecting reward. I must say I receive much back from giving but do not expect it.
I have believed and told people I loved them when I was not sure. But the thought in my head got me to love them more than I thought, as they in turned loved me. I love myself for doing that.
I work with terminally ill, homeless people and released prisoners every chance I get. My “attitude” seems to rub off on them and I make great friends that way. Everybody is a beautiful soul and gives me good feeling to know them and that. I open myself up to criticism and get it. It helps me be a better person and that is what I love about myself.July 20, 2011 at 12:02 pm #1082
Sending yourself more love, that is the key!!! :woohoo:July 20, 2011 at 12:04 pm #1083
Are you a blank piece of paper now, scuda? :huh:July 20, 2011 at 12:05 pm #1084
If we think it is hard to change ourselves, we create it being hard! :blink:July 20, 2011 at 12:07 pm #1085
Why you talking to yourself in the mirror is not working, scuda? :blink:July 20, 2011 at 12:09 pm #1086
You are doing an amazing thing, Lee. You are such a very special person and I feel so honored to know you. :cheer:
But let’s me ask all of you, what does happens when we open ourselves to the criticism? :blink:July 20, 2011 at 9:45 pm #1087Lynn ThompsonParticipant
Someone once seed “what you see in me you have in you”.
That means when someone critiszes me it is because they are seeing something within themselves that they don’t like, so they express it by criticizing me. The criticizism is only there perception, not reality.
It is the same for me. So it is up to me to see the good and love and express my gratitude.
I encourage excellence in all those around me and provide opportunities for them to be successful.
What is perception and what is real? We choose what we want to create. :ohmy:July 20, 2011 at 11:16 pm #1088
Thank you for creating this awesome post, Lynn. We have so many wonderful responses to it and the amazing disscussion keeps going on. :woohoo:
It is so true that we choose what we want to create. 😉 It is awesome that we are concentrating on seeing only great things about people.
But, what do you think it will make easier for us to see the beauty in other people? :huh:July 21, 2011 at 9:45 am #1124
No I’m not a blank slate because my ego won’t let me…I wish there were a pill to take to shut it off!July 21, 2011 at 9:46 am #1125
When we see the beauty in ourselves then we will easily see it in everyone!July 22, 2011 at 6:46 am #1147July 22, 2011 at 6:55 am #1148

I am going to present here wisdom that I have got from my teacher.
“You never understand yourself by looking at your past. You understand yourself when you look at where you are now and where you are going. What is that you are creating at this very moment will tell you who you really are!”
Now, I am going to ask you again. Are you a blank piece of paper? 😉 (or a blank slate?)July 22, 2011 at 7:50 am #1152
well according to your teachers I am a blank slate because there is only now…no past, just now…but my mind holds on to the past…not sure how to let it all go….July 23, 2011 at 3:22 am #1166Lynn ThompsonParticipant
What helps me is the last portion of Amanda’s meditation CD. It takes me to a plact thatnonly I create. It feels peaceful and LOVING. Even though life presented it’s challenges and triggers, I need to stop and take notenof thebmoment and go to my special place. 🙂July 23, 2011 at 10:15 am #1174
