Partying neighbors and noisy dogs

Hello All,

You can probably tell from the content of my subject line what this post is about. Before I begin, I will say that for the past few weeks I have been affirming to myself “I live in a perfect neighborhood with quiet and peaceful neighbors. I love everyone and everyone loves me”.

We live on a canal and, as most of you know, water conducts noise and magnifies it. There are people across the canal from us who party on their lanai outside two days out of every weekend until 2 AM, with no consideration for others who are trying to sleep. It doesn’t matter if the windows are closed or not. Closing up does not quiet the noise enough to sleep. Just when I thought things were getting better, they now have a dog that they closed off on the lanai and they let it howl most of the night, thus once again denying sleep to those who like to sleep at night.

This is going on despite affirmations to the contrary, as I stated above. As a last resort, would calling the police be a negative thing to do in this case to try to gain back some peace and quiet? These are not they type of people you can speak to about anything, just bear that in mind.

If anyone has thoughts on this, I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you, and have a magical week! 🙂

You can do it and you are going to do it!!! You are a very powerful person and you are going to have awesome neighbors. Let’s go and discover together how to create those perfect neighbors. 🙂

We create with every single thought/feeling. What is the feeling in your story that creates that situation? Please, read what you have written and let think about it together.

Oh Sweetie, you deserve to rest and get a good night sleep. Tell yourself that when you look in the mirror. Say, “I love you” to yourself and give yourself a hug. Then in the evening, while lying in bed, say: “thank you for a restful night sleep”, repeat in the morning: “Thank you for a restful night sleep. I feel rested… so amazing!” …and so it is! :woohoo:

What would you like your neighbors to be like? Create in your mind… say it over and over again: I live in the most peaceful neighborhood and I love my neighbors. They are such friendly, respectful, considerate people and they have the sweetest dog. :cheer:

When I do that then, will the neighbors across the canal either quiet down and will the 3 dogs next door quiet down or will the ideal living situation and neighborhood manifest through a move to a different area?

Hi 🙂 I notice that Amanda is encouraging you to recognize the feelings, as presented in your post, that are creating your current reality. Have you been able to identify them? The reason I ask is that if we tell you what we notice, it might not go to a deeper level for you, whereas if you can identify the creative thought/feeling in this situation for yourself, then you will be able to change it more easily.
Amanda has taught me that it is not up to us how something will change, but to focus on the goal. So I imagine that you focus on living among quiet, friendly neighbors, and that the sounds magnified by the water are pleasant to you. If you can imagine this; relaxing in your lanai, hearing the lovely sounds, greeting your neighbors and them greeting you politely, noticing the quiet, peaceful pets, and feeling a smile in your heart for all this… then you can change to this reality.
Be patient, ask for help from the higher power, and keep re-directing your thoughts and feelings continually (every time you catch yourself in the unwanted thought/feeling), knowing the you really will be living in your dream situation. I agree with Amanda… You can do it!

It seems to me that the problem is: ]you can not sleep. But if you imagine yourself having a great nights sleep with those positive thoughs and faith in your power, the great sleep will come regardless of circumstances.

Think and Feel great about a great night’s sleep and the faith will come. You won’t know how, but it will come. I have faith in you.
