I have been reading a book by Anita Moorjani called “Dying To Be Me”. She writes about a near death experience she had where knowledge was revealed to her about the mysteries of the Universe and how to expand your life to live the fullest life possible. She found out why she developed the “dis-ease” in her body that manifested as cancer, and she was able to cure herself when she realized who she really is.

More miraculously, she was given an analogy that I think is perfect for expanding your life while in this human body of ours. I feel compelled to share it with you because I really identify with it, and hopefully so will you. I will quote the part where she writes:

“Imagine, if you will, a huge, dark warehouse. You live there with only one flashlight to see by. Everything you know about what is contained within this enormous space is what you have seen by the beam of one small flashlight. Whenver you want to look for something, you may or may not find it, but that does not mean that the thing does not exist. It is there, but you just have not shone your light on it. And even when you do, the object you see may be difficult to make out. You many get a fairly clear idea of it, but often you are left wondering. You can see only what your light is focused on, and you can only identify that which you aleady know.

That is what physical life is like. We are only aware of what we focus our senses on at any given time, and we can only understand what is already familiar.

Next, imagine that one day someone flicks on a switch. There for the first time, in a sudden burst of brillance and sound and color, you can see the entire warehouse, and it is nothing like anything you have ever imagined. Lights are blinking, flashing, glowing, and shooting sparks of red, yellow, blue, and green. You see colors you do not recognize, ones you have never seen before. Music floods the room with fantastic kaleidoscopic, surround-sound melodies you have never heard before.

Neon signs pulse and boogie in rainbow strobes of cherry, lemon, vermillion, grape, lavender, and gold. Electric toys run on tracks up, down, and around shelves stacked with indescribable colored boxes, packages, papers, pencils, paints, inks, cans of food, packages of multihued candles, bottles of effervescent sodas, chocolates of every possible variety, champagne, and wines from every corner of the world. Skyrockets suddenly explode in starbursts, setting off sparkling flowers, cascades of cold fire, whistling embers, and animations of light.

The vastness, complexity, depth and breadth of everything going on around you is almost overwhelming. You cannot see all the way to the end of the space, and you know there is much more to it than what you can take in from this torrent that is tantalizing your senses and emotions. But, you do get a strong feeling that you are actually part of something alive, infinite, and altogether fantastic, that you are part of a large and unfolding tapestry that goes beyond sight and sound.

You understand that what you used to think was your reality was, in fact, hardly a speck within the vast wonder that surrounds you. You can see how all the various parts are interrelated, how they all play off each other, and how everything fits. You notice how many different things there are in the warehouse that you have never seen, never even dreamed of existing in such splendor and glory of color, sound, and texture – but here they are along with everything you already knew. And even the objects you were aware of have an entirely new context so that they, too, seem completely new and strangely superreal.”

This is my understanding of why all things are possible, and just because we don’t see it does not mean it does not exist. All we need to do as humans in these bodies is shine our light (or focus on) the things we desire in our life and be grateful for having them, because those things are in that dark warehouse somewhere outside of our beam of light. When we are grateful for these things and are acting as if we already have them, we will be led by a higher power right to them, and instead of our single-beam focus, the lights in the warehouse will be turned on and you will see everything at once!

I love this book, “Dying To Be Me” by Anita Moorjani, and I highly recommend it. It is about healing ourselves through knowledge of who were really are. 🙂

Thank you for sharing! I heard about this book and just recently watched a Dr. Wayne Dyer PBS Special where Anita was a guest and shared her story, an amazing story, a wonderful heartwarming story. It’s like what we comprehend with our senses only 1% of all there is – a mere illusion. The other 99% is a wonderful miraculous world (unseen) that we have the power to tap in to. Everything is based on thought, (and of course feeling) so if you can think it then it exists. Therefore, we DO have the power to be, do or have anything we want – anything we desire. It is already there! :woohoo:

I also watched the PBS special.

I met Wayne Dyer when he was at a Unuty Church speaking. He was promoting his first book. I have followed his amazing journey and even wert to a 3 day seminar.

I always donate every year to PBS and when Wayne talked about what he offered as a full package I called without hesitation.

About 2 weeks ago I got the package. I could not put down the “Dying To Be Me” book.

All my life I knew how special I was and felt unconditionally loving. I could not understand why I wasn’t loved. I could not understand why people had hookes on love. (If you do this I will love you)

When I wread the book I rediscovered my love and my purpose. Life has been moving so fast and I see only the wonderful things and people in my life. I know that I am loved and appreciated. I also create miricals every day.

I am blesses with this knowing and magnificent energy AND SO ARE YOU.

I, too, could not put the book down. I downloaded the book on my Kindle, and I didn’t stop reading the book until I was forced to because the battery had to be recharged. This scenario went on three or four times until I finished the book. What Anita said about being unconditionally loved really got through to me, especially the part about how you don’t even have to do anything to be unconditionally loved, and all you have to do to serve your life purpose is to be yourself and you don’t have to look for anything special to do. It’s all so simple and pure and makes so much sense.

I know, we all are! Isn’t that the most amazing feeling? 😆

I have not read the book yet, but I can’t wait to finish me current book (Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ) to start “Dying to be me”! B) You know, we kinda do die… our old ways of thinking die… replaced by the new, the fresh and the vital and supporting way of thinking. We are all so incredibly blessed! :woohoo:

It’s great! Who would have thought it is so simple!? :silly:
The truth is that it’s always simple and always easy! 😆
…and the way we’ve been tought to think previously didn’t allow us to believe it, or made it appear very hard… when in reality it’s just simple and easy. I’m still blown away “every day”! Truly amazing!! :silly:
