Karma from past lives

This morning I woke up at 2:45 AM with a raging headache as I lay in bed. The headache seemed to come up from the base of my neck and flowed up to both temple areas. I got up and walked into the living room and sat in one of our comfy recliners in hopes of easing the pressure in my head by sitting up.

As I sat there in the dark room in the recliner, the air conditioning unit was cycled off for awhile and there was no electronic noise of any kind in the house, yet in the peaceful stillness of the room there it was, the tick, tick, tick of the battery-operated clock on the wall that sounded almost deafening! How annoying was that, especially with a headache the likes of which I have only experienced a few times before. I have not noticed the true volume of that clock before, but when left to my own thoughts in complete silence the ticking of the clock stood out more so than ever before.

After coming home fresh from a consultation with Amanda the day before with the knowledge that anything is possible, short of tearing the clock off the wall and smashing it to bits and pieces with a hammer, I decided to see what I could do about that TICK, TICK, TICK that was pounding through my brain that seemed almost unbearable at the time. So, I went to that quiet space in between thoughts, a practice I had been learning through reading about quantum entrainment where one can get to a state of total awareness. I set an intention of having a quiet, peaceful room. I thought to myself, “What have I got to lose? I am up with this darn headache, anyway, so I may as well give myself something to do.”

Do you know what? The volume of the ticking clock seemed to go down some, then up back where it was, and then get muted again, and that went on for about 10 minutes. Was I imaging things? Were my ears plugging up somehow? No, I don’t think so. I truly believe that for a brief period of time I was indeed controlling the volume level of noise coming from the clock! As short as the time was, it was a real eye-opening experience for me.

If my intention is able to control clock noise, I am totally convinced that I truly can do anything from healing a headache to healing my whole body and manifesting what I desire. Is this the beginning of something marvelous and blessed? I think so!

I am beginning to see how Jesus worked his miracles and how magician David Blaine does his magic on the city streets and levitates in front of amazed onlookers, and those feats are no optical illusions. David Blaine and Jesus have all the delicious ingredients to make that cake.

There is a question that is nagging at my brain. It’s something I have been told by a few psychics and angel therapy practitioners before. Are there things from past lives that affect us in the present lifetime that prevent us from healing certain aspects of our lives? Do we “sign up” to have certain conditions in our lives that cannot be changed because these circumstances are here to teach us the lessons in our lives that we need to learn?

For example, in a past life if we took a vow of poverty, does that belief carry over into the present and cause us to believe we do not deserve to be wealthy? Or, in my case, I was told that in a previous life I was an outspoken activist against a certain religion and the powerheads of that church considered me to be a threat so they put me to death by hanging, and that is why I stutter in this lifetime because the throat chakra was involved. Is there such a thing as this type of karma inhibiting total healing in this lifetime?

My husband and I are truly honored to have been attracted to Amanda Devine’s energy! Thank you, Amanda, for coming into my life with the most perfect timing!

    Hi Laurie,
I truly enjoy reading your posts, and some of your questions are my questions, too. My belief about this subject is that yes, past lives can affect our present life, but as we wake up to who we REALLY are (namely, God Also), we can let go of these old paths or wounds or lessons. It’s just like any lesson from this present life. We acknowledge it, then decide what we really want and focus on that. The discussion that Amanda started regarding not talking about conditioning any more is one that pertains to what I am trying to say. We are never stuck, and if we decide it, this is the lifetime to be totally free! That’s what I choose.
Fun to hear of your ticking clock experiment. I’d love to hear of more things you do to show yourself your power!

I look forward to finding out what else I truly can do and I will indeed share it with you because it will be too exciting to keep to myself. And thank you for the answer to my question. After reading your post, something from deep down inside of me tells me that what you are saying is true about karma. :silly:

Thank you for the beautiful words! I am so blessed to have you in my life! :woohoo:

You could see yourself how powerful you are. That was incredible to lower the sound of the clock ticking!!! :woohoo:

You can take all of that to a new level. In a situation like that, be kind to the clock. It is only doing its job. 😆 Feel love for it and ask that the ticking stops. And it will if you believe in it. 😉

Our past, no matter what it is has absolutely nothing to do with our future. So, don’t even think about it and remember that you can stop headache by sending love to yourself and change everything else, by loving yourself. :cheer:

If we believe that past affects us it does. If we believe that is the past. Like Jesus said, “Let the dead burry the dead”, then it does not. Whatever you choose, and whatever you believe in, you are always right. 😉

Why do you think is that?

Because you are what you think and we are all co-creators. So, whatever you think, that is your reality unless you change your thoughts. 😉

Thank you for sharing your amazing experience and how you mastered to overcome it! :woohoo:

I too was told before that we “sign up” and that a previous life time experience supposedly stays with us until we heal it, maybe in this life time… You know, I’m not sure if I believe that anymore… or let’s put it this way… it doesn’t matter to me anymore, because I have learned who I really AM and I have the ability to change it – anything! Isn’t that the coolest?! :woohoo:

That is so true that whatever we think that is what we create. :cheer:

But are we really co-creators of your life or it is only you that creates it 100%?

To me, when you do something with enjoyment it makes you happy and it makes you feel good. No matter what it is – it makes you feel good! So, isn’t that the ultimate goal? Feeling good all the time? How do we do that? Well, let’s take that “vow of poverty” for example…. we really dont’ want to be poor – we want to be rich! So, if we simply change our thoughts (our feelings will follow) into “living in abundance”, we replaced feeling bad with feeling good. And because this whole process is exciting, I thought of it as creating enjoyment, because the goal is to feel good. B) Does that make sense? :silly:

Changing how we view things, changes what we eperience in our lives.

What else can we do?
