Cats, cats, and more cats

I am an animal lover and have been all my life. We live on a canal and there are various ducks that come into the yard. I love having ducks in the yard!

There is a certain pair of Muscovy ducks that visit on a regular basis every day, a male and female. One day I noticed that the female’s head was all bloodied up. She could not bend it to eat grass or drink nor preen herself. Whenever I found an injured duck, I could call CROW and they would pick them up and care for them and then release them back where they were found.

This time when I talked to CROW, they said that due to new Florida law they could no longer treat non-native species such as Muscovy ducks. I could not afford to take her to a vet to get her treated, so you can imagine what extreme discomfort I was in emotionally. The only thing I could think of to do was to ask for help from St. Francis of Assisi to aid in her recovery, and I projected healing energy to her. When I sent her energy, I heard a voice in my head say “It is done.” I wondered if that was just my mind making up something due to wishful thinking, but I now believe that the message was truly from Spirit, as the duck is now recovered.

Lately, there has been an issue of 2 cats that I saw living under a truck by a house. They didn’t look like they had food or water. I called animal control, and they sent an officer out. When she got out of the van the cats took off. She said they looked to be in pretty good shape. Since I have to drive by there every day, I notice things like that. One time I went past I saw someone come out from one of the four-plexes and feed them, so at least I felt better about it.

Now, when I go by there I see a litter of kittens under the truck by the mother, playing. My heart is breaking, because they could easily run onto the street and get run over, as they are near a very busy road. Due to the fact that there is so much heavy rain here and that they really have no shelter except for the truck or no comfortable place to lay and sleep, I find it unacceptable. The animal control will not do anything about it now, and this house is not the type of place that I would want to walk up to alone to talk to the residents.

Once again, I cannot stay calm because I think about these poor little things not being taken care of and I feel helpless because there is literally nothing I can do about it.

Can anyone suggest a mindset to get into so I can feel good again? I literally go way out of my way to come home a different way so I don’t have to drive by there in case one of them was run over. Today it was pouring sheets of rain and I thought about them with no protection from it. Sometimes I wish I were not so sensitive to animals, but I love them dearly and wouldn’t have it any other way when I really think about it.

What would you do or how would you think about this to feel better? Any thoughts? Thank you. 😉

I am an animal lover as well and it hurt me so much to see them dead on the side of the road. A while ago, maybe two months or so, I started affirming that “all animals, reptiles, amphibiens, insects and birds always cross the roads safetly. Since then I have not seen any dead animals on my path.

The cats/kittens will be just fine. Send them love and know in their heart that they are happy and heathy and well taken care of.

    XOXO

    Awesome advice!!! :woohoo:

One other thing that we can think of is: What is the difference between wild cats and the domestic cats? The wild cats are in the rain and they are not sheltered from it. When we think about those cats we don’t feel sorry for them and they grow strong and beautiful. I love animals and that is why I know I need to have only good thoughts about them so they are strong and healthy and happy. I know if I feel sorry for any aminals I create more of them in bad conditions. So, I need to see them happy in my mind like Dream Builder suggests. As we create everything with a single thought only then they will be taken care of. 🙂

That is great advice and makes perfect sense to me. The only thing is that domestic cats and kittens don’t have to deal with avoiding traffic on roads that are spaced a block apart. That’s my biggest concern.

I printed out your advice and I plan to think as you suggested. Thank you all so much! 😉

Now there is this male duck in the canal, the mate of the female who healed her neck, who is swimming in the canal backwards against the sea wall and seems all messed up. There is no way to help him! Oh boy, first the kittens and now this. He would not let me feed him as usual and just drifted and seems all messed up. Today is a double dose of feeling bad. Everyone else ignores the wildlife around here except me and my husband, and no one else seems to care. I am so frustrated.

I love animals, too, and I can feel your frustration and pain over them when they are hurt. At this point, I would suggest going within. Forget about the other people, now. Feel your bright light, feel healthy, feel love – all for yourself. When you are full of this, then feel this great love and health and light for the male duck.

The duck is gone. It drifted down the canal. There is a sort of war against ducks that are not native to Florida to get rid of them, including the non-native snakes and other creatures that have been introduced to Florida. Most people I have found have little tolerance for the welfare of these Muscovy ducks because of the recent regulations passed in the State of Florida about non-native species. I was horried to hear how some people would rather “run over than look at them”!

I just happen to love all animals, so I seem to be in the minority compared to most people around my area. Even if I could catch the duck, most vets here will not treat them. I cannot afford the expense, either.

It’s a good thought that you had, though. Thank you for that. 😉

Send love to yourself and the duck! Tell yourself “I love you!”

You know those cats I was talking about with apparently no shelter or food? I visualized them being okay, but two days ago I found one of the adults dead, hit by a car, lying in the road. Apparently, the house that they were lying in front of under the truck was moved out of and they were most likely moving on to find food and trying to cross a busy road. I still don’t see how that is a good life for those cats and I don’t see how they will be okay when I find one dead. How can I help but feel empathy for them? It literally almost physically hurts me to see animals in this type of a situation, especially when nothing can be done for them and Animal Control will do nothing, nor can they be caught. I would like to free myself from this mental suffering for their welfare, but I still don’t know how, especially when I see such horror in the streets.

Let’s think about it together. How this story relates to your neigbors?

I live in perfect Harmony with Nature. :cheer:
All animals, reptiles, amphibiens, insects and birds always cross the road safely. :cheer:

Those are my affirmations and they work!! I don’t see any dead animals on the road anymore. It’s amazing! You see, it’s all up to the individual… how you think and “feel” about it. Try it! :woohoo:
