A question about health affirmations

    Hi Amanda and everyone,

I am a bit confused about the health affirmation that I have been using for about 2 months now. I affirm “Thank you. I am in perfect health.” I do this several times a day (surely not as many as 100, though). Most of the time, I am not in front of a mirror when I say this to myself. Sometimes I am, though. Is a mirror necessary to make this affirmation stronger?

Since starting the health affirmations, more little health issues keep popping up that need to be taken care of. Most of the things are old things that just not have been addressed before and now they are severe enough to need to be taken care of or I finally have found a doctor with expertise to address and resolve the issue. For example, a 2-year-old surgical scar on my foot that never healed properly is now painful again and there is a lump underneath it so it needs another revision. A couple of the things need surgery, but again it’s nothing major.

What I am confused about and need a bit of guidance on is why do more things come up now that I am making health affirmations? I am at the point that I have been for procedures and doctor appointments so much that I maxed out my out-of-pocket expenses for the year on my medical insurance and there are no more doctor copays or procedure copays. That’s both good and bad, if you know what I mean.

I would have thought that medical issues would be getting less and less and I would have to see doctors and have x-rays and procedures less and less since starting the affirmations. Am I doing something wrong or just not enough of them? Help!

Thank you all so much for your input. I love being a part of this board and being connected to all of you people who are raising your vibrational frequencies.

    Hello Beautiful!

I don’t think it has to with how many times you say your affirmations and whether you stand infront of the mirror. It’s the feeling/the emotion/the graditude you put behind your affirmation. “Believe” and be grateful with all your heart that you are in perfect health – and you ARE! You already ARE!! :woohoo:

Mirror is not the requirement for you to become healther. The number of the repetitions is!!!! Why? Because if you believed that you can heal yourself you would be healthy right now. The repetitions help us believe that we can do it. This is what it did for me. I started to believe, then I knew it was going to happen and then it did!

Repeating even hundred times a day, is not everything that is going to make you healthy. Every time you go to a doctor and you are upset that you have another thing happening, by the law of creation you are creating more things happening to you. Especially, when you worry the money you are spending on the procedures that creates even more of it.

Another very important thing is calmness. If we get upset we prolong our healings. Scientists proved that one fight can delay healing of a wound by one day.

All we need to do is to do all the tools. They work as a “team” 😉 Only then, we can speed up the process. And one more thing. If we want to speed up things, we need to become patient. The more patient we are the faster things will happen. 😉 I had to learn that myself! 😆

Yes! what Amanda said 😛 I use the tools, and they are beginning to “sink in”, but what has helped me the most in the last week and a half is repeating over and over that I love myself. Every time I feel upset in any way (and for whatever reason – esp. when my kids get upset!), I say to my self, “Annette, I love you.” I say it a bazillion times a day. I find that it interrupts my stress thoughts/feelings, esp. if I say it in one long string of thoughts. As Amanda has pointed out, loving one’s self is the foundation of all of this. It is like the thread that sews together all the other practices (tools) to create a beautiful tapestry that is my daily life.

    Dear Laurie:([email protected])

It has been a while I understand that you have a medical problem, so I allowed to myself to include you in my mirror list if you do not mind,:”Thank God that Laurie is in perfect health ,I love Laurie”, and now that you ask for help, I thought that it would be good if you know that there is who is thinking about you ,you are in my world.

Best wishes for perfect health. We all love you.

See, I just said you are wise! 😆

I totally agree with what you are saying. I do the same thing: everytime I feel or start feeling uncomfortable in any way, I say: “Christine, I love you!” This is the key!! :woohoo:

At the beginning I had to remind myself to love myself all the time. Then it becomes easier with practice. Then you just know. 😉
