” post=2932]
We all want to be professionals in what we do. But here I am going to shine a different light on that comparison.

Amateurs compete – Professionals create
Amateurs compare themselves to other people – Professionals compare themselves only to themselves

When we start a career in any profession, the wise thing to do is to learn from the best. Follow the footsteps of the best in our industry, until we will learn our trade. At that very moment we need to become professionals. If we only follow the best, we will just do that, follow the best. When we start creating, we are going to move ahead and become different from the rest. What makes those leaders the best is that they don’t follow anyone anymore. They create. For us to become those leaders, we need to start creating. Become imaginative, look for new ways of doing things. When we do that, it is only a matter of time and we are going to become the leaders and others will follow. Having others learning from us and following our ideas is the biggest complement anyone can give us.
Concentrate on growing yourself and you are going to become a leader in your field.

Why shouldn’t we compare ourselves to others?
Comparing yourself with others serves only the ego… or not. If you are comparing and you think you are doing better, then you may feel superior, which is only temporarily and doesn’t last. If you are comparing and you think you are worth less, then you feel terrible about yourself and start beating yourself up. In both scenarios the Love is missing. What we want to do is ask ourselves: What can I do to be the best at…? Then be quiet and listen, and run with it! :woohoo:
I like what Lynn has to say about the subject. :cheer:
I love it!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: You got it!!! :woohoo: But there is more. 😉
