Yes! what Amanda said 😛 I use the tools, and they are beginning to “sink in”, but what has helped me the most in the last week and a half is repeating over and over that I love myself. Every time I feel upset in any way (and for whatever reason – esp. when my kids get upset!), I say to my self, “Annette, I love you.” I say it a bazillion times a day. I find that it interrupts my stress thoughts/feelings, esp. if I say it in one long string of thoughts. As Amanda has pointed out, loving one’s self is the foundation of all of this. It is like the thread that sews together all the other practices (tools) to create a beautiful tapestry that is my daily life.
